02 - Lunar Moth
The concept for this collection was inspired by the structural forms of the Chinese Lunar Moth (Actias Dubernardi), and is also a dedication to our mother.
This particular collection not only incorporates characteristics and elements interpreted from the physical forms of the Lunar Moth, but also explores the nature of transformation, movement and metamorphosis. Some pieces are playful, others more abstract, all of which play a part in telling a cyclic story.
Similarly with our first collection, the majority of the fabrics and textiles used in this collection are all second hand, with the exception of a few particular experimental pieces that incorporate new materials.
Drawing particular aesthetic elements from Jacquemus, Commes des Garcons and Maison Margiela, this collection furthers our practice on sustainable and experimental garment making and storytelling.
Series made in collaboration with stunning jewellery pieces from Poesia Pietra and 3D VFX by Craig Stubbs-Race.
